Demolition Day 1: Gutting the Closets...

Since I already hinted around on my last post, here is the time lapse and a few pics of what craziness I took on the first weekend I got the house:

My nephew was the most determined of the whole crew. He never stopped working on that one section. He was a great help!

Just look at how open it all is! Never mind the return air duct, plumbing pipes and remaining studs... After all the walls came down, reality set in on all the remaining details to fully complete this gut job.
You can see that there is some water damage from where it looks like there was a water heater and the wood doesn't quite line up to make a simple patch, but I will show you what I did later.

I don't know what I would do without my Dad's help. But in reality, I wouldn't have been buying a house needing remodeling if I hadn't grown up with my parents and the remodeling that they did! You can really see all the plumbing here in this picture. We (By we I mean a plumber, not me) ended up re-doing that entire drain line to be fully contained in the room behind that wall this picture is directly facing and I think it turned out pretty well.
Lots of eaten acorns in this house... Slightly worrisome but they all look old. :) There are so many more updates and pictures to show, I can't wait to share!
